Community-based health programs offer a life line for people living with infectious diseases. Our partnerships provide health screening and high quality care throughout India.
Under the directives of PEPFAR, support of USAID, and collaboration with NACO, the ACCELERATE program is providing technical assistance (TA) to the national, state, and district HIV/AIDS programs in India. ACCELERATE supports the national program to address gaps in current programming. The overall focus of the program is all vulnerable populations (and their partners/spouses/networks), including female sex workers (FSW), men who have sex with men (MSM), transgender persons (TG), and people who inject drugs (PWID), as there is a disproportionate burden of HIV among these groups and an unmet need for services.
Safe Zindagi is an online platform funded by USAID and PEPFAR and implemented through Project ACCELERATE, in partnership with the National AIDS Control Organization of India. Project ACCELERATE is led by the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Safe Zindagi aims to offer online information and services for HIV testing, prevention, treatment, and retention in care through the public and private sectors of India.
RePORT India is charged with advancing regional TB science in India, towards fulfilling the TB strategic goals of the country, strengthening TB research capacity and infrastructure and fostering research collaboration within India and with other countries focused on research that can lead to clinically important biomarkers, vaccines, drugs, and diagnostics.
The Johns Hopkins University Baltimore-India Clinical Trials Unit (JHUBI-CTU)is a collaboration and integration among three Clinical Research Sites (CRSs): Johns Hopkins University Adult CRS in Baltimore, BJ Medical College (BJMC) CRS in Pune, India, and YRG Care in Chennai to conduct clinical trials. The CTU includes a highly experienced international leadership that is also uniquely positioned to make significant and strategic scientific contributions.
